Our future may very well be LONDONISTAN TOO!!!

I don't often make a very strong recommendation about a book but the COMBINED THREAT that the "Secular Progressive Communist Democrats (SPCD)" that control the congress, their leader Obama, and the Wahhabi Islamics are to our America make "LONDONISTAN" BY Melanie Phillips a MUST!!!!!

This book describes the current tragic collapse in the English Democratic Judo/Christian Society as it succumbs to the Secular Progressive's and Wahhabi Islamic Hoard in that country. It should be noted that England is just an example of the similar tragedy taking place in Europe.

I suspect, no I believe, that this coming election will be one of the Greatest Turning Points for America, on a par with both Our Revolutionary War, and our civil War. Our greatest threat will be a dual threat from the collusion of foreign and domestic enemies of our constitutional America. These enemies are with out a doubt the SPCD and Wahhabi Islam.

Its been my observation and satisfactory documentation that all of you have received, that the magnitude of the future envisioned and planned by these two enemies will not only change the course of America and the world, but from which we may never recover. The possibility of civil wars braking out world wide when people finally "Wake Up" can not be exaggerated.

So call me "Chicken Little" but before you do read this book, as well as the following if you have not as yet taken the time to inform yourselves: "The Red Web 1921-1924", by Blair Coan; "Blacklisted by History" by M. Stanton Evans; "Shadow Warriors" by Kenneth R. Timmerman; and finally Lt. Col Robert "Buzz" Patterson's books "Reckless Disregard", "Dereliction of Duty" and "War Crimes".

Praying Obama's Prayer

Mr. Kevin McCullough makes some very valid points. In addition to his question to Obama "Why if he is to be an Instrument of God's Will does he support the Murder of Babies for Birth Control Purposes??" I would add the following:

"Why does he support the conversion of America into a Secular Godless Nation along with the Communist ACLU and the Wahhabi Islamic CAIR?";

"Why does he support the Communist ACLU and the Wahhabi Islamic CAIR in their constant battle to: distort our constitution and give the Wahhabi Islamics in America Privileges that they fight to deny all other religions, and appear to applaud their success in removing "GOD from the village square??";

"Why does he want to Dishonor our Troops and SURRENDER in Iraq?";

"Why does he number among his closest friends and mentors: a Radical Hate America Pastor; a Wahhabi Islamic Hate America in Farrakhan; and an American Terrorist as a good friend and neighbor?".

As you all know this list could go on and on with valid points of Obama's hate America rhetoric and his Citizen of the World Changes to America, but I'd best stop now and take some TUMS.

Praying Obama's Prayer
Kevin McCullough
Sunday, July 27, 2008

"Lord,

Protect my family and me. Forgive my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair. Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will."

Thus Barack Obama is reported to have prayed at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem this past week. With his hundreds of advisors, media, and handlers in tow Barack was taped by thousands of feet of video glancing up, then down, turning his back to the camera, fumbling around the area of the wall he was standing in front of and then sliding his very neatly penned prayer paper into a slit in the wall, touching and retouching it as if to say, "it's right here."

I wondered from the moment I saw him place it in the slit in the wall how long it would take someone to leak what he had written. We didn't have to wait long. And for all the bluster there has been in the blogosphere this week about what an "outrage" it was that someone removed the paper, and showed its content to the media, I had no doubt at all that it would in fact be released.

Feigned indignation about words written on a page is silly. It did not eradicate a prayer prayed by Obama to remove the slip of paper from the wall. It also did not mean that he had prayed the prayer, simply because he placed it there. Prayer is a direct communication to the Creator. And if Barack Obama offered a prayer at the Wailing Wall, God knew it, heard it, and answered it in less time than it took for Obama to find the secret spot.

So since I do not find it morally objectionable that someone found the paper and showed it to the press (and for all we know it could have been one the gaggles of the Obama posse that did so), let's look at the substance of what it says.

"Lord" - We can probably safely assume that he means either God the Father, or Jesus Christ. Since he did not specify (and perhaps did so purposefully to make it more appealing across the religious spectrum) we will just have to agree that we may never know.

"Protect my family and me." - A natural, earnest, and sincere sentiment. One also that is prayed each day by other fathers in America. Some of whom would like their local school districts to not push their daughters towards abortion without parental notice and consent. Daughters that aren't that much different from - Barack Obama's.

"Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair." - On a purely theological note, if Barack Obama was in fact the evangelical Christian he claims to be, he would already understand that in a permanent sense his sins were forgiven at the moment of salvation. Yet it is refreshing to note that he is willing to express to the Almighty his dependency and need for help. Certainly something republicans and democrats alike all need help with.

"Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just." - Wisdom, righteousness, and justice are the exact legacy I personally wish to leave my children and the world after my time on earth is concluded. A worthy thing to ask to be certain. Yet it is a tricky one for Obama. Given the fact that he consistently KNOWS the RIGHT thing to do and doesn't do it, could cause one to think this expression is less than sincere. For example to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the moment Michelle had given birth to either of his daughters that he was experiencing a miracle of an almost indescribable degree is amazing. To know that the little life that he held in his hands in those moments was so meticulously planned by that same Creator, should be evidence and clarity in spades. Why then would State Senator Obama be so insistent to advocate for the deaths - not of unborn children (which he certainly has) , but of children that had survived a procedure designed to take their life - yet had survived all the same. Is it wisdom, is it justice, is it righteousness to argue for the mandated killing of these innocent - born - children?

"And make me an instrument of your will." - Again a theological nuance but he did not capitalize "I" in your, technically indicating he was not speaking to God. But let's agree he intended to. Should God use him as an "instrument," if he has no desire to reflect "His" will? As Barack Obama has promised to sign the Freedom of Choice Act as his first priority in office, what is consistent with God's will in the premeditated killing of children? Or in removing laws that establish their rights to know of the health and emotional consequences of what will happen to them, heightening the chances of contracting cancers of the breast or uterine? Or in removing the rights of the parents to lovingly guide their daughters to healthy choices about life, sex, and values? The Freedom of Choice Act, by his own admission his highest priority upon reaching office, would eradicate all of this progress and more.

Theologically speaking I find Obama's prayer humble, and something along the lines of what I endeavor to pray on a daily basis as well.

I just hope that Mr. Obama would pay attention to the words he penned, and allow them to change parts ofhim, that presently seem rather numb to the work of the Almighty.

Would you hire me? ? ?

This really puts things into perspective!!

Maxstake

Yet more Obama stuff.....

Would you hire me?

If I only had 143 days of experience:  Would you hire me to fix your car?

Would you hire me to run your company?

  If I only had 143 days experience would you hire me to run the country?

Something America might want to think about.

Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of
actual work days?  Not much.

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to
the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory
committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate.  That's how
many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be
Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of
Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.

143 days -This isn't taking into account the days he has missed.

In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military
service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem
more impressive than ever.  At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his
stride.

Think about IT!!!

If you agree, pass it on.  If not...hit delete.

Virigina Is Sitting on the energy Mother Lode

     Another reason I am convinced that "The Environmentalist and their Potentate Gore" are in fact deliberately trying to Bankrupt America for their own Secular Progressive Communist's Purposes.
     The leaders of "The Environmentalists" can't possibly give a damn when one of their most cherished alternate fuels STARVES A HUNGRY WORLD, the use of Food Grains such as corn and Soy for Ethanol.
     Here is one of the largest deposits Uranium in the world, they have convinced the "Stupid State Legislature" that mining for "Yellowcake" is as dangerous and dropping a bomb. Even the "Secular Progressive Communist Europeans know that Nuclear Power is one of the Worlds Cleanest Power Sources.
     Maybe they can explain it to SPCD Obama!!

Virginia Is Sitting on the Energy Mother Lode

By MAX SCHULZ
July 26, 2008; Page A7

Chatham, Va.

Amid the rolling hills and verdant pastures of south central Virginia an unlikely new front in the battle over nuclear energy is opening up. How it is decided will tell us a lot about whether this country is willing to get serious about addressing its energy needs.

[Cross Country]
AP
Walter Coles Jr. and Walter Coles Sr. discuss uranium.

In Pittsylvania County, just north of the North Carolina border, the largest undeveloped uranium deposit in the United States -- and the seventh largest in the world, according to industry monitor UX Consulting -- sits on land owned by neighbors Henry Bowen and Walter Coles. Large uranium deposits close to the surface are virtually unknown in the U.S. east of the Mississippi River. And that may be the problem.

Virginia is one of just four states that ban uranium mining. The ban was put in place in 1984, to calm fears that had been sparked by the partial meltdown of a nuclear reactor on Three Mile Island outside of Harrisburg, Pa. in 1979.

Messrs. Bowen and Coles, who last year formed a company called Virginia Uranium, are asking the state to determine whether mining uranium really is a hazard and, if not, to lift the ban. But they've run into a brick wall of environmental activists who raise the specter of nuclear contamination and who are determined to prevent scientific studies of the issue.

The Piedmont Environmental Council is one of the leading opponents. It warns of the "enormous quantities of radioactive waste" produced by uranium mining.

Jack Dunavant, head of the Southside Concerned Citizens in nearby Halifax County, is another outspoken critic. He paints a picture of environmental apocalypse. "There will be a dead zone within a 30 mile radius of the mine," he says with a courtly drawl. "Nothing will grow. Animals will die. The radiation genetically alters tissue. Animals will not be able to reproduce. We'll see malformed fetuses."

Yet it is not as if we have no experience with uranium mining, which is in fact relatively harmless. Handled properly, the yellowcake that is extracted is no more hazardous than regular household chemicals (and unlike coal, it won't smolder and combust).

James Kelly, who directed the nuclear engineering program at the University of Virginia for many years, says that fears about uranium mining are wildly overblown. "It's an aesthetic nightmare, but otherwise safe in terms of releasing any significant radioactivity or pollution," he told me. "It would be ugly to look at, but from the perspective of any hazard I wouldn't mind if they mined across the street from me."

The situation is rich with irony as well as uranium. While you can't mine yellowcake, it is perfectly legal in Virginia to process enriched uranium into usable nuclear fuel, which is somewhat dangerous to handle. A subsidiary of the French nuclear giant Areva operates a fuel fabrication facility in Lynchburg 50 miles from Chatham. It has been praised by Gov. Tim Kaine, a Democrat, as a good corporate citizen. The state is also home to four commercial nuclear reactors, which provide Virginians with 35% of their electricity. And, of course, the U.S. Navy operates nuclear ships out of Norfolk, Va.

Across the country, there are 104 commercial nuclear reactors. They consume 67 million pounds of uranium annually, the vast majority of which is imported from Australia, Canada and former Soviet republics. The 200-acre Coles Hill deposit (Mr. Coles's family has lived on the spot since 1785) is thought to contain nearly twice that amount. For Messrs. Bowen and Coles, with the long-term price of uranium near $80 per pound, that means they are sitting on about $10 billion worth of ore. But for the rest of us, it means they are sitting on an opportunity to make the U.S. more energy self-sufficient.

Since Virginia is already a nuclear-friendly state that properly manages the risks of nuclear power, what sense does it make for the state to ban the safest step in the nuclear fuel cycle?

Gov. Kaine supports allowing the National Academy of Sciences to determine whether mining could be done safely. So does virtually every elected official in heavily Republican Pittsylvania County. Earlier this year the narrowly Democratic state Senate voted 34-6 to authorize the study. But the measure was killed in committee in the House under pressure from environmental groups. If it was allowed to come up for a vote in the full House, which is controlled by Republicans, opponents concede it would have passed.

The governor's chief energy adviser, Steve Walz, says the Kaine administration has taken no position on whether reversing the ban makes sense. "That's why we wanted to see the results of the study, to help us make a determination."

Mr. Dunavant doesn't believe the governor has an open mind on the issue. He calls Mr. Kaine, "our 'supposed green' governor" and says that the "only thing green about him is his love of money." Coles Hill "is all about greed," he says. "It's criminal activity as far as I'm concerned."

For his part, Mr. Coles can't understand the hostility. "I tell these groups that my concerns are your concerns. I have been protecting the environment here for decades, long before any of them became interested in this land." He's received offers to buy his land for sums that would make him incredibly wealthy, but has turned them down. "We love the land. My family has lived here for over 200 years. We're going to continue to live here. That's the reason we decided to keep it, as opposed to selling out." He says Virginia Uranium will continue to push for the independent study.

If the U.S. is to expand nuclear power's role in a time of energy insecurity and climate change worries, we will have to confront the hysterical antinuclear pronouncements that have been the currency of environmentalists for nearly 30 years. The Old Dominion could be a good place for a new start.

Mr. Schulz is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute.

One World? Obama's on a different planet

We need to listen to the wisdom of this man. The One World Mantra is right out of every Communist Manifesto, one world ruled by Secular Progressive Communists like those currently in charge in Europe.

     Every EURO politician describes him/herself as either Communist or a Progressive, a difference in name only. Every State in the European Union is a declared SECULAR State, that have mutual laws that govern most if not all aspects of life for their people. This is what Obama wants for America and his sermon to the crowds of Europe tells them America under his Presidency will become as Secular Progressive as they are.
     If this is want you want then by all means vote for the Secular Progressive Communist Obama, for myself I prefer:
           A free enterprise with out state interference to include Medical Care;
           Taxes only for the Protection of America as dictated by our constitution;
           Judges that do not legislate from the bench;
           Setting my thermostat at any level "I" choose;
           Drilling for oil and using nuclear power to free us from the dictates of our enemies;
           Maintaining the Greatest Armed Forces on Earth with the continued battle for freedom for America and others.

This is not a complete catalog of what we have had, and are slowly loosing in America under the 5th Column of Secular Progressive Communist today like:
          The deterioration and/or elimination of our good Christian/Judo way of life the very soul of America;
          The Murder of Babies for birth control;
          The Elimination of God from the Public Square;
          The Stealing from those that work hard and giving their hard earned money to the lazy;
          The Gutting our Military to make us a Second Rate Nation;
           The Control of all levels of Education, Brain Washing our children with their Evil Secular Progressive communist lies.
      This is also only a partial catalog of the Bastardly attacks, and too many successful on our Constitutional America by the Secular Progressive Communist Democrats that control the Congress today and their Leader Obama.
      I have been chastised by many for my continued use of 'Secular Progressive Communist Democrats' I would suggest that a little research on "goggle" for example use "Pelosi Communist", etc.
   Again I offer the following: "The Red Web 1921-1924" by Blair Coan; "Blacklisted by History" by M. Stanton Evans; "Shadow Warriors" by Kenneth R. Timmerman and finally  "Reckless Disregard", "Dereliction of Duty" and "War Crimes" all by Lt. Col Robert "Buzz" Patterson, USAF (RET).

One world? Obama's on a different planet

The senator's Berlin speech was radical and naive.
By John R. Bolton

July 26, 2008

SEN. BARACK OBAMA said in an interview the day after his Berlin speech that it "allowed me to send a message to the American people that the judgments I have made and the judgments I will make are ones that are going to result in them being safer."

If that is what the senator thought he was doing, he still has a lot to learn about both foreign policy and the views of the American people. Although well received in the Tiergarten, the Obama speech actually reveals an even more naive view of the world than we had previously been treated to in the United States. In addition, although most of the speech was

substantively as content-free as his other campaign pronouncements, when substance did slip in, it was truly radical, from an American perspective.

These troubling comments were not widely reported in the generally adulatory media coverage given the speech, but they nonetheless deserve intense scrutiny. It remains to be seen whether these glimpses into Obama's thinking will have any impact on the presidential campaign, but clearly they were not casual remarks. This speech, intended to generate the enormous publicity it in fact received, reflects his campaign's carefully calibrated political thinking. Accordingly, there should be no evading the implications of his statements. Consider just the following two examples.

First, urging greater U.S.-European cooperation, Obama said, "The burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together." Having earlier proclaimed himself "a fellow citizen of the world" with his German hosts, Obama explained that the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Europe proved "that there is no challenge too great for a world that stands as one."

Perhaps Obama needs a remedial course in Cold War history, but the Berlin Wall most certainly did not come down because "the world stood as one." The wall fell because of a decades-long, existential struggle against one of the greatest totalitarian ideologies mankind has ever faced. It was a struggle in which strong and determined U.S. leadership was constantly questioned, both in Europe and by substantial segments of the senator's own Democratic Party. In Germany in the later years of the Cold War, Ostpolitik -- "eastern politics," a policy of rapprochement rather than resistance -- continuously risked a split in the Western alliance and might have allowed communism to survive. The U.S. president who made the final successful assault on communism, Ronald Reagan, was derided by many in Europe as not very bright, too unilateralist and too provocative.

But there are larger implications to Obama's rediscovery of the "one world" concept, first announced in the U.S. by Wendell Willkie, the failed Republican 1940 presidential nominee, and subsequently buried by the Cold War's realities.

The successes Obama refers to in his speech -- the defeat of Nazism, the Berlin airlift and the collapse of communism -- were all gained by strong alliances defeating determined opponents of freedom, not by "one-worldism." Although the senator was trying to distinguish himself from perceptions of Bush administration policy within the Atlantic Alliance, he was in fact sketching out a post-alliance policy, perhaps one that would unfold in global organizations such as the United Nations. This is far-reaching indeed.

Second, Obama used the Berlin Wall metaphor to describe his foreign policy priorities as president: "The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down."

This is a confused, nearly incoherent compilation, to say the least, amalgamating tensions in the Atlantic Alliance with ancient historical conflicts. One hopes even Obama, inexperienced as he is, doesn't see all these "walls" as essentially the same in size and scope. But beyond the incoherence, there is a deeper problem, namely that "walls" exist not simply because of a lack of understanding about who is on the other side but because there are true differences in values and interests that lead to human conflict. The Berlin Wall itself was not built because of a failure of communication but because of the implacable hostility of communism toward freedom. The wall was a reflection of that reality, not an unfortunate mistake.

Tearing down the Berlin Wall was possible because one side -- our side -- defeated the other. Differences in levels of economic development, or the treatment of racial, immigration or religious questions, are not susceptible to the same analysis or solution. Even more basically, challenges to our very civilization, as the Cold War surely was, are not overcome by naively "tearing down walls" with our adversaries.

Throughout the Berlin speech, there were numerous policy pronouncements, all of them hazy and nonspecific, none of them new or different than what Obama has already said during the long American campaign. But the Berlin framework in which he wrapped these ideas for the first time is truly radical for a prospective American president. That he picked a foreign audience is perhaps not surprising, because they could be expected to welcome a less-assertive American view of its role in the world, at least at first glance. Even anti-American Europeans, however, are likely to regret a United States that sees itself as just one more nation in a "united" world.

The best we can hope for is that Obama's rhetoric was simply that, pandering to the audience before him, as politicians so often do. We shall see if this rhetoric follows him back to America, either because he continues to use it or because Sen. John McCain asks voters if this is really what they want from their next president.

John R. Bolton, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and the author of "Surrender Is Not an Option."

ABC's Tapper: Obama Think's He's President; Denies Media Access

It must be true if even ABC Reports it!!! Lets not forget that he snubbed Wounded Troops with some very lame excuses. What else can you expect from a Secular Progressive communist Democrat.

4. ABC's Tapper: Obama Thinks He's President; Denies Media Access
Not every reporter covering Barack Obama's world tour is entranced by the words and imagery of the Democratic candidate. On Thursday's Good Morning America, political correspondent Jake Tapper jabbed at Obama's overconfidence, describing the senator's July 24 speech in Berlin as "one the Obama campaign is billing at almost presidential. Even though he is not the President." Reporting from inside the Obama plane, Tapper complained in a snarky tone: "Inside, the plane has been redesigned to separate the senator and his staff from us lowly reporters." He added that Obama officials told journalists that they could brief reporters as anonymous officials. Tapper grumbled: "One of them said that's what we did at the White House during the Clinton years. We pointed out they don't work at the White House." Regarding the Obama plane, the ABC journalist also pointed out: "The American flag on the tail wing has been replaced by an enormous Obama O."

Can we emasculate the military culture?

I thought you might enjoy this exchange between my Friend Vernon, a Korean War Vet, and I.

Vernon, I have taken the liberty of sending this to everyone in my "Chat Group" and ask that you publish it in my BLOG.

You are right about Karl Marx, the emasculation of the Military is just one step and insures no possibility of a resurgence of our Constitutional America against the establishment of a Secular Progressive Communist America.

Make no mistake the progress to date of the SPCD's in this conversion is well on its way and with a Leader like the SPDC/Muslim Obama and the SPCD Congress, 4 years may be enough-- with 8--  I have my doubts that we can recover.

Subject: Can we emasculate the military culture?

I recall that someone, perhaps Karl Marx, writing that the first thing to do when taking over a government in a movement, socialism In his case, is to emasculate the police and military.
The Democrats, socialist and liberals every one of them, are intent on that.  In searching for that emasculation comment, I found this.  For every man that joins the military and serves proudly and bravely as a patriot while keeping his virtue and dignity intact, there are many men and females that view service differently, too many bring their fast food working experience with its uncaring insolence and insignificance and don't realize that military service is a serious and professional business.  The military somehow finds a purpose for them and they are soon gone, however there are others with more insidious proclivities and personal problems that somehow get in and don't go away.  They are the ones who emasculate the military, taking positions otherwise filled by serious minded people, and the civilian leadership, especially the liberals, see their inclusion as serving the purpose of emasculating the military.   The bastards see the military as merely a public works project and a drain of public funds.   Bill Clinton did not hide his contempt of the military and, his recent trip to the Middle East aside, I fear Obama will follow suit.

A Tale of Two Flip-Floppers

Its easy to see that Obama is not "His Own Man". He attempts to go to the center on the war, telling everyone that he will asses things after talking to the Generals on his visit to Iraq. Then his controllers Moveon.org, and the Secular Progressive Communist Democrats (SPCD) that control Congress got on his case and he quickly returned to the "Party Line".

I'm not so concerned about his "Flip-Flops" as I am that he obviously is not only a "SPCD" but subordinates himself to them and foreign dictates.

A Tale of Two Flip-Floppers

By KARL ROVE
July 24, 2008; Page A13

John McCain and Barack Obama have both changed positions in this campaign. That's OK. Voters understand that politicians can and, sometimes, should change their views. After all, voters do. Witness the wide swings in their answers to opinion polls.

But before accepting the changes, voters typically ask themselves three questions: Does the candidate admit he's shifting? What's the new information that altered his thinking? Does the change seem reasonable and not calculating?

Sen. McCain has changed his position on drilling for oil on the outer continental shelf. But because he explained this change by saying that $4-a-gallon gasoline caused him to re-evaluate his position, voters are likely to accept it. Of course, Mr. McCain doesn't explain why prices at the pump haven't also forced him to re-evaluate his opposition to drilling on 2000 acres in the 19.2-million-acre Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. But, then, what politician is always consistent?

Mr. McCain flip-flopped on the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts. He'd voted against them at the time, saying in 2001 that he'd "like to see more of this tax cut shared by working Americans." Now he supports their continuation because, he says, letting them expire would increase taxes and he opposes tax hikes. Besides, he recognizes that the tax cuts have helped the economy.

At least Mr. McCain fesses up to and explains his changes. Sen. Obama has shifted recently on public financing, free trade, Nafta, welfare reform, the D.C. gun ban, whether the Iranian Quds Force is a terrorist group, immunity for telecom companies participating in the Terrorist Surveillance Program, the status of Jerusalem, flag lapel pins, and disavowing Rev. Jeremiah Wright. And not only does he refuse to explain these flip-flops, he acts as if they never occurred.

Then there is Iraq. Throughout 2006 and early 2007, Mr. Obama pledged to remove all U.S. troops, even voting to immediately cut off funds for the troops while they were in combat. Then, in July 2007, he started talking about leaving a residual U.S. force, in Kuwait and elsewhere in the region, able to go back into Iraq if needed.

By October, he shifted again, pledging to station the residual U.S. troops inside Iraq with two "limited missions of protecting our diplomats and carrying out targeted strikes on al Qaeda."

Last week, writing in the New York Times, Mr. Obama changed again. He increased the missions his residual force would perform to three: "going after any remnants of al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, protecting American service members and, so long as the Iraqis make political progress, training Iraqi security forces." That's not all that different from what U.S. troops are doing now.

And just how many U.S. troops would Mr. Obama leave in Iraq? Colin Kahl, an Obama adviser on Iraq, has said the senator wants to have "perhaps 60,000-80,000 forces" in Iraq by December 2010. So much for withdrawing all combat troops.

It's dizzying. Yet, Mr. Obama acts as if he is a paradigm of consistency. He told a Georgia rally this month that "the people who say [I've been changing] apparently haven't been listening to me." In a PBS interview last week he said, "this notion that somehow we've had wild shifts in my positions is simply inaccurate."

Compounding all this is Mr. Obama's stubborn refusal to admit the surge was right and that he was wrong to oppose it. On MSNBC in January 2007, he said more U.S. troops would not "solve the sectarian violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse." Later that month he said at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing that the new strategy would "not prove to be one that changes the dynamics significantly." In fact, the surge has done far more than its advocates hoped in a much shorter period.

Yet Mr. Obama told ABC's Terry Moran this week that even in retrospect, he would oppose the surge. He also told CBS's Katie Couric that he had "no idea what would have happened" without the new strategy. And he still declares, in the New York Times last week, "The same factors that led me to oppose the surge still hold true." Given all that has happened, it's hard to understand how Mr. Obama can say, as he did Tuesday in a story on NBC Nightly News, that "I don't have doubts about my ability to apply sound judgment to the major national security problems that we face."

Americans have seen both candidates flip-flop. Mr. McCain at least has a record of being a gutsy leader willing to take unpopular stands who admits his shifts and explains the new information that caused them.

Mr. Obama has detached himself from past positions at record speed. And in doing so he runs the risk of being seen as a cynical politician, not an inspiring leader. If this happens, voters in large numbers may ask -- despite his rhetorical acrobatics -- if he is the change they've been waiting for.

Mr. Rove is a former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush.

Clif May's Article today "Beyond Complaccency: The Ante-Anti-Terrorist Push for Unilateral Disarmament

This is an excellent assessment of the position of the Secular Progressive Communist Democrats, that control Congress and their leader Obama, on the primary constitutional purpose of the President and the Federal Government "PROTECT AMERICA"--DON'T, INSTEAD we DISARM and use "TALK, TALK, & NICE, NICE". Oh, I almost forgot we should also Surrender Iraq to our Islamic Enemies, Obama's brethren.

P.S. Lets not forget the Carter and Clinton Gutted the Military, I do believe that constitutes UNILATERAL DISARMAMENT, which Obama advocates as well as voting to DISARM Our Troops in Iraq.

McCain vs. Muslim Radicals

Bud Day should be applauded for speaking the Truth and I'm with him "I don't intend to kneel or advocate to anybody that we kneel--and I hope John is with us. However, I expect that it doesn't particularly bother the Communist ACLU that avidly supports CAIR, and I have to wonder about the Secular Progressive Communist Democrats.

McCain vs. Muslim Radicals

By Robert Spencer
FrontPageMagazine.com | 7/23/2008

Muslim spokesmen in the U.S. are outraged over remarks made last Friday by Bud Day, a key supporter of John McCain. Day, a much-decorated Air Force Colonel and Medal of Honor recipient who was a prisoner of war in Vietnam with McCain, said during a conference call organized by the Florida Republican Party that “the Muslims have said either we kneel, or they’re going to kill us.” Day added: “I don’t intend to kneel, and I don’t advocate to anybody that we kneel, and John doesn’t advocate to anybody that we kneel.”

The reaction was swift. Saif Ishoof, president of the Center for Voter Advocacy, said that Day’s remarks were “perpetuating a form of Islamophobia.” Khaled Saffuri, the Executive Director of the Islamic Institute (which he co-founded with Grover Norquist), was also deeply offended. “‘This is as close to racist as it gets,” he declared. “These are cheap street tactics. Even if this is called a mistake or a slip of the tongue, it shows a bigger problem with racism. McCain and the Republican party should denounce this.” (Keith Olbermann also termed Day’s words “racism and religious hatred,” although neither he nor Saffuri explained what race Islam is.)

Corey Saylor, national legislative director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), also called on McCain to distance himself from Day, stating that “CAIR would like to see Senator McCain come out and make a clear statement repudiating these remarks. We don’t believe they’re helpful at all in either putting out the campaign’s message or winning the hearts and minds in the Muslim world that America needs to be winning.”

However, a repudiation from McCain was not immediately forthcoming. McCain campaign spokesman Michael Goldfarb said only: “The threat we face is from radical Islamic extremism.” However, a spokeswoman for the Republican Party, according to the Miami Herald, “said later that Day acknowledged he misspoke and ‘made an unfortunate mistake’ because he meant to say ‘terrorists’ and not ‘Muslims.’ according to the Miami Herald, “said later that Day acknowledged he misspoke and ‘made an unfortunate mistake’ because he meant to say ‘terrorists’ and not ‘Muslims.’ The Herald itself took for granted that Day had said something wrong, calling his remarks a “gaffe on Muslims.”

Unnoticed, however, in the controversy over Day’s remarks was the fact that what he said was essentially accurate. While it is certainly true that not all Muslims are trying to “make us kneel,” there can be no legitimate question whatsoever that there are indeed Muslims who are engaged in such an effort. The Muslim Brotherhood in the United States is, according to a Brotherhood operative, engaged in a “grand jihad” aimed at “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

What’s more, there is considerable reason to suspect that some of the Muslim leaders who have been most indignant over Day’s words are involved in this “grand jihad.” Investigative journalist Kenneth Timmerman wrote in 2004 of Khaled Saffuri’s considerable influence in Washington, and then noted that “some of the very people Saffuri introduced to Bush and Rove are in federal prison on terrorism-related charges. Others have been expelled from the country. Still other former colleagues and donors have become subjects of a massive federal probe into U.S. funding of terrorist organizations that is code-named Operation Greenquest….Saffuri’s ties to radical Islamists and apologists for terror are neither superficial nor coincidental.” And CAIR, of course, was in 2007 named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case, and has had several of its officials arrested and convicted on terrorism-related charges.

Why was none of this been mentioned in mainstream media coverage of this story? It isn’t really surprising that it wasn’t, given the tendencies and perspectives of the mainstream media – indeed, it would have been more surprising if they had mentioned it. But Bud Day’s remarks should have been judged for their accuracy: are there, or are there not, Muslims trying to make us kneel? No one would have objected in 1944 if a military spokesman had said that “the Germans are trying to make us kneel,” and someone who took offense to such a statement on the grounds that not all Germans were pro-Nazi would only have been ridiculed. However, CAIR has shown in the past that the accuracy of statements to which it takes umbrage does nothing to mitigate their hurt feelings. And now the primacy of hurt feelings has been enshrined into law in Canada: as we have seen in the Mark Steyn trials in Canada, truth and accuracy is no defense against charges of “hate speech.” In a sane world, instead of taking offense, Islamic spokesmen in the U.S. would have been assuring reporters that they were working energetically within Muslim communities against those who wished to make non-Muslims kneel. But sanity is at a premium in the public debate on Islamic jihad today.

US general warns Russia on nuclear bombers in Cuba
Jul 22 02:05 PM US/Eastern
Russia would cross "a red line for the United States of America" if it were to base nuclear capable bombers in Cuba, a top US air force officer warned on Tuesday.

"If they did I think we should stand strong and indicate that is something that crosses a threshold, crosses a red line for the United States of America," said General Norton Schwartz, nominated to be the air force's chief of staff.

He was referring to a Russian news report that said the military is thinking of flying long-range bombers to Cuba on a regular basis.

It was unclear from the report whether that would involve permanent basing of nuclear bombers in Cuba, or just use of the island as a refueling stop.

In his confirmation hearing to become the air force's chief of staff, Schwartz was asked what he would recommend if Russia were to base nuclear capable bombers in Cuba.

"I would certainly offer the best military advice that we engage the Russians not to pursue that approach," he said.

The newspaper Iszvestia on Monday cited an unnamed senior Russian air force official in Moscow as saying that Russia may start regular flights by long-range bombers to Cuba in response to US plans to install a missile defense system in eastern Europe.

A White House spokeswoman declined to comment on the Russian report because there had been no "official response from the Russian government."

Conducting long-range bomber patrol to Cuba would signal a reawakening of military cooperation by former Cold War allies Moscow and Havana, and recall the 1962 missile crisis that brought Washington and Moscow to the brink of war.

Over the past year, Russia already has revived long-range strategic bomber patrols in the Pacific and north Atlantic.

The Russian moves come amid rising tensions over the US missile defense plans, and warnings by Moscow that it will be forced them to counter them militarily.

Until now, US officials have shrugged off the stepped up Russian military activity, while insisting that a radar in the Czech Republic and 10 missile interceptors it plans to install in Poland pose no threat to Russia.

White House press secretary Dana Perino recalled assurances US President George W. Bush offered Russian President Dmitry Medvedev two weeks ago at a G8 summit.

"The president repeated that our missile defense system should not be seen as a threat to Russia, we want to actually work with the Russians to design a system that Russia, and Europe and the United States could work on together as equal partners and we'll continue to do that," she said.

"We seek strategic cooperation with the Russians. We want to work with them on preventing missiles from rogue nations like Iran from threatening our friends and allies," said Perino.

But Medvedev has warned that the missile defense project worsens regional security and will force Moscow to consider counter-measures.

Excuse Me While I Get My gun

If history is any lesson all Despots , Dictators, Kings, Communists & Socialists, and other brethren of their ilk have always disarmed the people that they might control them in every way.

Is it any surprise then that the Secular Progressive Communists of Congress and City Officials in Washington D.C. want the citizens disarmed, not to forget other cities like San Francisco.

Excuse Me While I Get My Gun
Jacob Slum
Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the District of Columbia had violated the Second Amendment by making armed self-defense in the home impractical and banning the most popular weapons used for that purpose. Last week, the D.C. Council responded by unanimously approving a law that makes armed self-defense in the home impractical and bans the most popular weapons used for that purpose.

D.C.'so political leaders know they are inviting another Second Amendment lawsuit, but they are determined to defy the Supreme Court and the Constitution for as long as possible.

The new law "clarifies that no carry license is required inside the home" to move a gun from one room to another. It also "clarifies" the District's firearm storage requirements, saying a gun may be unlocked and loaded "while it is being used to protect against a reasonably perceived threat of immediate harm to a person" in the home.

Much hinges on what counts as a "reasonably perceived threat." If you're awakened in the middle of the night by a crash, may you carry a loaded gun with you as you investigate? Evidently not. The Washington Post reports that D.C.'so acting attorney general, Peter Nickels, "said residents could neither keep their guns loaded in anticipation of a problem nor search for an intruder on their property." According to Nickels, if you see an armed criminal charging your home, or in the event of "an actual threat by somebody you believe is out to hurt you," you're allowed to get your gun, unlock it and load it.

How long will that take? The new law lets people use a gun safe instead of a trigger lock, which, depending on the type of safe, could allow faster retrieval. But even a gun in a safe has to be kept unloaded, which will tend to slow down the owner's response to a "reasonably perceived threat," assuming he can figure out what that means.

The delay will be even longer because of the District's ridiculously broad ban on "machine guns." The Metropolitan Police Department says the ban covers all handguns except revolvers, which are more cumbersome to load than semiautomatics with detachable magazines.

Under D.C. law, "machine guns" include not only guns that fire continuously but also guns that fire once per trigger pull if they can fire more than 12 rounds without reloading or "can be readily converted" to do so. According to the District's interpretation, even a pistol that fires 12 or fewer rounds counts as a "machine gun" if it could accept a bigger magazine.

That's why Dick Heller, the man who successfully challenged D.C.'so handgun ban, was not allowed to register his seven-shot .45-caliber pistol, which in the District's view might as well be an Uzi. Instead he applied to register a .22-caliber revolver.

Speaking of registration, the District has established a burdensome 12-step process that involves multiple trips to gun dealers and government offices, fingerprinting, a written exam and ballistic testing. How long does all this take? "Up to 14 days," according to one police department publication. "Approximately eight weeks," according to another. "There are circumstances where it could take months," says Police Chief Cathy Lanier.

Registration easily could turn out to be so onerous or capricious that it effectively denies D.C. residents the right to keep and bear arms. The District's revised firearm storage requirements are even more clearly unconstitutional, since they unreasonably interfere with the very function, self-defense in the home, that the Supreme Court said is protected by the Second Amendment. Likewise the arbitrary ban on semiautomatic handguns, the most commonly used self-defense weapons.

"I am pretty confident that the people of the District of Columbia want me to err in the direction of trying to restrict guns," D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenny told Washington Post columnist Marc Fisher. How about erring, just this once, in the direction of respecting civil liberties?

re: Dennis Prager's "Will Israel Attack Iran?"

The frightening message here is that if Israel does not and we fail as well, Iran will Destroy Israel as promised.

In my humble opinion I believe that is why Obama as President will advocate 'TALK, TALK, & NICE, NICE', it will give his Islamic Brethren the Go Ahead.
